We all know that grass can encroach into our beds and borders but in this case, an entire once cherished feature had succumbed to the green relentless march.
After identifying the exact perimeter of the original feature that lay beneath, great care had to be taken during the clearing process because of the nature of the underlying sandstone which is very soft and easy to damage. Slowly but surely the secret was revealed and brought back to its original glory, ready for the addition of some selective alpines to add a splash of colour and texture.
